Municipal Commitees:
Youth and Athletics Committee

1.1  The Committee is been presided by a member of the Administrative Committee and four other members of the Municipal Council participate in it.

1.2  Representatives of all associations of the Elementary Schools, the Junior High School and, in general, all organised groups of the Municipality may participate in it, according to the Committee's opinion.

1.3 The Committee deals with Youth and Athletics problems described below:

1.3.1  With the promotion of the athletic spirit.
1.3.2  With all subjects of athletic scope.
1.3.3  With the construction of sports installations.
1.3.4  With the management of courts and possible other sports installations.
1.3.5  With the management of courts and possible other sports installations of the Municipality.
1.3.6  With the hosting of sports events.
1.3.7  With the organisation, activation and development of the young people of the Municipality, from 13 to 30 years old.
1.3.8  With the hosting of events and lectures, concerning youth problems which the Committee itself detects, or are referred to it by the Municipal Council or the Mayor and according to priority e.g. update about drugs, AIDS and other modern problems of the young people, publication of informational material, annual contests (essays - compositions of ideas), educational excursions and vocational guidance.
1.3.9  Co-operation with all organised groups of the Municipality in which there are young people.
1.3.10  With the hosting of events for the youth in co-operation with other qualified committees of the Municipality.
1.3.11  With the encouragement to re-activate the youth centres and/or other organisations, in which the opportunity to healthily occupy youngsters will be provided.
1.3.12  With the general offering to the Municipality's youth.
